camping adventures

we started our camping adventure with a semi flat tire the morning we were leaving. poor harley had to take the truck in and have it fixed asap...there was a nail stuck in it and we have a warranty so they fixed it up quick and we were off!

we made it into bear lake just in time for lunch and had raspberry shakes.

i've only seen the teton mountains one other time-that I can recall-and i'm here to tell you that pictures just don't do these beauties justice. if you ever get a chance to see these babies in person i'd say do it.

we spent our first night in a camp ground close to the tetons.

wildlife by the side of the road.

it was pretty stormy on our drive and it made pictures look amazing.

fat tire beer--one of my favorites. hefe for my man.

i'm not going to lie it concerned me being in bear country in a tent...harley assured me over and over we'd be fine but, i had dreams about bears every. single. night.

harley teaching me how to start a fire.

the only thing i did was light it....anyone who knows harley knows how big of a pyro this man is so he preferred to be in charge of fire, period.

family photo-op.

boys in heaven.

cash was slightly out of sorts the next morning but, quickly found solace in dads lap.

we headed into yellowstone park to see none other than old faithful.

i couldn't get over this leaning pine tree.

avery was enamored with the lily pads.

the kids were very worried that the geyser was going to be loud and were pretty upset that we would drag them to this place.

they quickly got over it after seeing it gush boiling hot water high into the air. poor avery got stung by a bee on her arm while we were waiting. i felt so bad for her. she wanted to leave right then and i felt horrible telling her no and to try and tough it out so we could watch old faithful do her thing. avery did in fact suck it up and loved watching the geyser go off.

then we were off to find our next camp site. you see, harley didn't have any camp sites reserved for this adventure. we were literally winging it every day...it made it pretty exciting not knowing where we were going to wind up and lay our heads each night. we had everything we needed in the back of our truck so he wasn't worried-i did enough of that but, everything worked out every day. we spent the next two nights in west yellowstone.

i still can't get over the endless amounts of trees so close together and how tall they are.

the campsite was next to this amazing river. avery did a little swimming-fully clothed-cash threw rocks in it, harley did some fly fishing and i watched everyone while taking a million pictures. :)

(more pics soon.)
