gearing up for yellowstone

if cash or myself look less than stellar here it's because the kids and I have been hit by another summer cold and it sucks.

this guy gets sick maybe once a year.

and has been doing a lot of fishing.

so, we've decided to take a jaunt to Yellowstone this year for a family vacation. avery and cash don't want to go because they've seen pictures of old faithful and think we're crazy for even thinking of going near that place. cash, however, informed us he wanted to go camping in alaska....i do too!!! actually, some great friends of ours just moved there recently and harley and i are really looking hard at making it up there next year-maybe sooner.
getting things ready for vacation has been left mostly up to harley since i've been hit by the plague....this should be interesting ;)

ever have those days, weeks, months or years where you start asking yourself some really hard questions? it's been one of those weeks. we're presented with choices and decisions every day. sometimes they're simple and sometimes difficult. recently i've been presented with a series of questions i can't ignore that are in-to me-of a serious nature so, this little vacation should be a welcomed distraction :) ....it's time to go back to the basics it would seem.
