happy anniversary

our wedding invitation...

so here we are...eight years of marriage. nine years total so far as a couple. honestly, i can't remember life before harley. we've come a long way in this marriage. i think of how much i loved him the day we got married and it's hard for me to believe that i love him more now than i did then. is that even possible? i know it is. harley and i have been through a lot together-as i imagine most couples have. we've had good years, great years, bad years and some extremely hard times. we have had times that we've fought tooth and nail for our marriage. fought to make it work and keep things together. i'll admit there were times we even fought the idea of leaving each other...those were hard times. i look back and i love the fact that in the midst of every obstacle we've ever faced we've chosen each other and this family every. single. time. is our marriage perfect? no way! we've worked hard and faced things together that at the time felt like it would be easier to leave. i look at all the things we've been through and have a great sense of gratitude now. i'm humbled when i see all that we have and proud when i look at all that we've accomplished. we've learned so much in our 9 years together....for us, happiness is a choice and ours alone. we work really well together and have learned not to rely on the other for our own happiness. do we bring each other happiness? absolutely. do we know how to piss each other off? absolutely! ...and we most certainly do both ;) having said that we make each other laugh all the time. humor plays a big role for us. even in facing big, harry problems we find the humor in them. i'm grateful for this. nobody makes me laugh like harley!

i thank god for this man and my family. it's my greatest accomplishment.
