the start of a busy weekend

we had a busy weekend. i'm still at it on these night stands :) a cold front has moved in, though, so i'm taking a small break with them and my yard...this will give me a minute to catch up on the inside of my home.

when harley and i moved into this house we couldn't believe the yard...a very well kept mature yard with a lot of fruit trees and random gardens placed everywhere. i quickly found that between work and school it was really yard to keep up on everything this woman had done to it....so, our main goal over the years has been to simplify it. we'd like to put some grow boxes in this spring for a garden that's all in one particular place. we've kept all the fruit trees and i think it's about time i learn how to can. these bushes provide a lot of privacy for us in the backyard. they grow like crazy and are a little bit of a pain to keep up on trimming but, i love them.
