today we got out in the yard and started cleaning it up. we have a huge willow tree that is constantly dropping branches for us to pick up. it's a beautiful but, messy tree. we pulled some weeds and found a precious lady bug :) it felt good to be outside in the sun. i hope planting is soon to follow....i love days like this :) things are starting to break ground to bloom....
...... while harley was swimming at the rec. center today some random woman stopped him mid lap to tell him God doesn't love him because he marked his body with a tattoo. at first i was completely shocked and appalled...then just felt sad. sad for her and this belief she has. we teach our children that we believe in God & if someone doesn't we get to respect their opinion.....that we believe he loves us unconditionally. that we treat others with the the respect we would want in return. we teach our children right and wrong in the extreme sense: murder etc..& the lighter side of this topic of what works and what doesn't work like stealing etc....last but, not least we teach them you don't put anyone down for their appearance, religion etc..pretty much you don't bully anyone. i would hope that this woman will one day have an experience that will teach her you just don't say something like that to someone. ever. .... having said all that be good to each other. love everyone. forgive. treat others the way you would want to be treated and mostly have FUN with life. experience as much as you can because nobody gets out of this life alive anyway and i know that i personally want to go out of it being able to say: 'man, what a ride!!!' *thanks to all our supportive friends!
