bits & pieces

i'm hoping to get all the touch ups with painting that need to be done sometime next month in our bedrooms and hallway. it would be nice to start on the vaulted ceilings in the living room and kitchen but, i'm pretty sure right now that's wishful thinking. we have some busy months coming up and when a project involves scaffolding i think it's safe to assume it will take a bit of time...especially when you have two small kids that love helping.

remember these? while cleaning out the basement harley came across these old cordless phones. they have a neat intercom button on them....cash and avery were talking to each other from their rooms and getting such a kick out of it. hours of entertainment.

every night we have a 'tuck in' routine with avery and cash. we ask 3 questions: what was your favorite part of the day? do you have any questions about anything? what are you greatful for? last week avery learned about george washington at school. so, during one of our nightly routines when i asked her what she was greatful for george washington made it in the top 5. it was a pretty cute moment.

grandpa taking some time to play with avery and cash. he set up the race track for them and it didn't take long for cash to be left alone and take it all apart. i swear you can't turn your back on that kid and he's tearing something apart-not because he's a bad kid-to see how it works. he is the most curious between the two on learning/knowing how things function.

we've been keeping busy...i can't believe march is almost here.
